HOWUDOIN’??? I’m FABULOUS, thanks for askin’!
Something about the New Year that makes us feel rejuvenated and refreshed.. It’s an opportunity to start over, to get to all those things that we say we want to do…stop smoking, lose weight, re-establish relationships and friendships that have been neglected or forgotten..whether it’s with family, friends or God.
But our problem is commitment, of which I myself am guilty. We need finish what we start. We need to take responsibility for ourselves and our actions, and then become a good example for those around us, especially our children. Good does rub off on others…give it a try! I know that I will be.
February will be 3 years that i have quit smoking! So that’s one down….several to go.
As I get older, I realize those things that are truly important to me, and what I need to do to keep them safe and available in my life. I know, I know, it’s easier said than done, but that’s the great thing about staying committed…think of the rewards! Instant gratification is fleeting….we see it all the time.
I realize how blessed I am…I have my health, my children’s health, a loving spouse, a roof over my head, a job, family and friends and God…..but all the other things in my life that I need to work for to keep, and I will.
My wish for everyone is for a happy and healthy New Year with prosperity for all, including this great country of ours, of which I have great faith in.
May God bless us all in the coming year…..in 2009, we are going to shine!
