Howudoin’??  I’m FABULOUS..thanks for askin’….another beautiful morning here in Brevard county…the sunrise…only one word needed to describe it… spectacular!

We were supposed to leave for vacation today…but sometimes situations arise that you need to take care of and part of that is sacrifice…my mother in law sold her house!  HOORAY!!  It had been on the market for over a year, so good news!  the bad news was she needed to be put by the end of this week (our week to go away)…so we canceled the vacation to help her go through her things and figure out what she wanted to do with all her stuff!  We’ll reschedule for another time…since my hubby was up in St. Augusitne with his brothers and his mother, I was tasked with mowing the lawn….with our NEW rider mower!! YEA BABY!  what a dream it was…now our lawn will ALWAYS look good!  Everyone wants a chance to mow, my son and daughter and of course my hubby….so we won”t have any problems with high grass!

We had football on Thursday and soccer on Saturday and general family outings, so we’ve been busy.

On today’s show we chatted about a couple of stories that are making the rounds….

the super collider will be out of commission for about 2 months to make repairs.  It seems that a faulty electrical connection between two magnets that stopped superconducting, melted and led to a mechanical failure and let the helium out.  Now, I’m no rocket scientist, but these guys are!  How amazing to have that kind of intelligence to be able to take it all in and figure it out….space, nuclear, physics, whatever the science….it takes great dedication and passion to work in these fields….and patience!  This collider has been in the process of construction for 2 decades!!  I’m really looking forward to what it will reveal when it is back on line….

Then we spoke about the latest govenment bailout of AIG for….$700 BILLION dollars….that’s alot of bad mortgages boys and girls….and it is the opinion of this loadmouthed broad that those institutions that were managed poorly and had bad decisions made should suffer the consequences in a free market and go out of business.  We have been through this before, and while it may have taken soemtime to recover, we did recover.  Any time the government gets involved in areas that it should not, it ends up costing more money than originally “promised”, AND a trainwreck…it is my belief that this bail out is not a good idea.  We should be finding several privately owned business who can merge together to help with this problem….the govenment is a lousy businessman…we’ve seen it before…we can predict what is going to happen.

And there was one more story that  I wanted to get to and ran out of time.. ( I need a 3 hour show, I tell ya)…

This is from Florida Today….

JACKSONVILLE — With 10,000 supporters cheering him on at a downtown park — and 6,000 more straining at the fences outside — Barack Obama electrified supporters Saturday with stinging attacks on his Republican rival and promises of better times to come.  The nation’s first black presidential nominee got a rock star’s greeting at Metropolitan Park, despite arriving more than an hour late and in heat and humidity so oppressive that several supporters collapsed and were rolled out on stretchers.Dee Johnson, a 44-year-old telecom project manager from Jacksonville, brought her 4-year-old daughter, Journey Johnson-Buffaloe, to the line at 8 a.m. to guarantee a good spot to see Obama.

Johnson described herself as a moderate Democrat, someone who was willing to listen to the ideas of moderate Republicans like McCain and Gov. Charlie Crist.

But Johnson said McCain is not the same candidate she watched with fascination in 2000, when he was willing to downplay divisive social issues like abortion. His pick of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a running mate, in what to Johnson was an all-too-obvious nod to the Christian conservative base of the Republican Party, is a non-starter for her.

Palin is expected to draw enthusiastic crowds today when she makes her first campaign appearance in Florida in The Villages near Orlando.

And that worries Johnson.

“She’s Lucifer in a dress,” Johnson said. “She is the devil in disguise. She scares me.”

I don’t know about you,but I DON’T WANT A ROCK STAR FOR PRESIDENT!..If I did, I would vote for Jon Bonjovi!  What exactly has this man done for this country and it’s people?  I can’t find anything…he talks a good talk, but that’s about it.  And this woman who says that Palin is Lucifer in dress…the devil in disguise and she scares me…..how is that?  Because she believes in personal reponsibilty?   That she actually has EXPERIENCE over Obama? (Watch the youtube video of Newt Gingrich slamming a reporter about Palin)

I’m tellin ya…Obama and people like Dee Johnson SCARE ME…I fear that uneducated voters are going to go out and vote for the “prettiest” candidate….the most popular…”the rock star” and that will plunge our country into an even further mess…I want government to be less intrusive, less expensive, less “pretty”, and more into fixing the problems that THIS COUNTRY has…I want a government that will do FOR THE PEOPLE….they seem to have forgotten us….

If I want a rock star, I’ll buy tickets and go see Aerosmith……

Ranting is soo good for the soul!  I feel great….time to go and get some work done around the house…

Have a wonderful week….I’ll try checking back in……
